This piece presents an enigmatic Nana Buruku whose steady, penetrating gaze reveals a lifetime of lore. She is the oldest of the Orishas and the mother of all life according to the Yoruba beliefs. Swathed in purple that melts into the water, she clasps a staff entwined by a vivid green serpent — a quiet emblem of knowledge and transformation.
